　　讲座摘要：Previous studies provide mixed insights on the relationship between supplier concentration and financial performance. To get insights into this relationship, this study draws upon social capital theory and absorptive capacity literature to propose the complementary role of IT-enabled absorptive capacity on the influence of supplier concentration on firm financial performance. Specifically, we distinguish differential effects of IT-enabled potential absorptive capacity and IT-enabled realized absorptive capacity in moderating the supplier concentration-financial relationship. By analyzing a longitudinal data of 908 manufacturing firms, this study presents that supplier concentration is not significantly related to financial performance. IT-enabled potential absorptive capacity positively moderates the supplier concentration-financial performance relationship whereas IT-enabled realized absorptive capacity negatively moderates the relationship. Theoretical contributions and managerial implications of the study are discussed.
